The Nutley Volunteer Emergency and Rescue Squad has provided emergency medical services to the Township of Nutley and surrounding communities since 1953.   Our dedicated members feel honored to be available to assist the residents in their time of need.  Although our purpose is to provide emergency care, our members hope and pray each day for a healthy and safe community.  One way of accomplishing this is through health prevention activities such as regular exercise and healthful eating.  We would like to invite all residents to attend the squad’s Family Health/Fitness Day on September 25, 2016 at the Nutley Parks and Recreation department.

here will be a variety of team and individual activities that encourage all ages to move their bodies.  Teams  can compete in two hour slots in games of volleyball, basketball, soccer or flag football.   Inflatable obstacles courses will provide a fun challenge for the young and not so young.  There will be fitness classes provided by trainers from local gyms and our own Recreation Department.  Come ready to try a new activity and have some fun with your family, neighbors and friends.

How can you help?

• Become a Team Captain: Secure a team of at least 10 players.  Collect your team member’s Pledge Forms. Submit your team’s roster and enjoy the day together.

• T- shirt sponsorship:   Promote your business while supporting NVERS.  Submit your logo, artwork or message  for 12 screen-printed shirts.  Use the day as a staff team builder or as a fun extra for your customers to enjoy or allow residents in your community to join in on the play while wearing your business logo.

• Promote your business by having staff available to discuss your services or provide a trainer/instructor to run a demo class.
